How We Worked Together

Li-ion auxiliary power systems was a brand new market when we engaged Volta, so we began with deep market research and discovery. Many of Volta’s B2B clients needed help communicating the value proposition to their customers, so we had to learn the technology, shape a dual-purpose brand voice, and build the messaging foundation Volta’s sales team could actually use. As the brand gained traction with OEs and end-users alike, we collaborated on an ingredient marketing strategy modeled after campaigns like “Intel Inside” — giving rise to “Powered by Volta” and the “Power Without Compromise®” tagline.

For years, Boileau served as Volta’s on-demand marketing team, supporting their expansion into utility, RV, military, and international markets as they sustained consistent 100% year-over-year revenue growth.

An Ingredient Brand

Like “Intel Inside” or “GORE-TEX,” there are some brands that serve as a must-have ingredient in their industry. We positioned Volta through the “Powered by Volta” campaign as a differentiator for any RV that carried the badge.

As Volta didn’t sell systems directly but only through OEM partners, the company put in a lot of work to help RV-makers explain the advantages of an advanced power system to dealers and buyers.
